Given a list of strings, return a new list with the strings sorted in ascending order by their length. If two strings have the same length, sort them in lexicographic order.
Example:
Input:
['banana', 'apple', 'pear', 'kiwi']
Output:
['pear', 'kiwi', 'apple', 'banana']
